Podcast Cover & Intro
Johns Hopkins SAIS Rethinking Iran is a research and academic initiative examining contemporary Iranian politics, society, economics, and foreign policy. The project was to design a podcast cover. The primary goal was to create a podcast cover that would captivate potential listeners and encourage them to explore the initiative's podcast. To achieve this, I utilized Adobe Illustrator to transform the Persian word "Iran" into a unique and visually striking mosaic pattern, seamlessly integrating it with a microphone graphic. This presented the challenge of creating a cover that was both visually distinctive and effectively communicated the essence of the Rethinking Iran initiative. The result was a professionally designed cover that not only enhanced the podcast's visual appeal but also significantly increased listener interest, leading to a notable increase in streams and followers.

The second project entailed the creation of a captivating podcast intro. The primary objective was to craft a recorded introduction that would enhance the podcast's professional appeal and attract a wider audience. I collaborated with the Rethinking Iran team to develop a compelling script, which was subsequently recorded in a professional studio at SAIS. Utilizing Adobe Audition, I skillfully integrated the recording with excerpts from a song by a talented Iranian artist based in Germany. The principal challenge lay in seamlessly aligning the various audio elements and achieving a harmonious balance between the background music and the spoken segments of the intro. The final product yielded exceptionally polished podcast episodes, which ultimately led to a significant increase in both streams and followers.
